Stars in Action at the EPL
SAMAHA ISMATH ALI
The English Premier League treasures within it a barricade of players
who are worthy of mention, who are chosen for International sides based
on their unique talent and football skills. Every team has its own
stars, its action-packed thrillers who add colour to the game. Though
these players depict glamorous football, they pose difficult conditions
for their opponents by displaying quality football, excellent tackles
and indescribable passes. This section focuses on the best among the
best of the English Premier League.
Queens Park Rangers
Bradley Orr
Bradley is an English footballer who plays as defender foe QPR.
Though his birthplace is Liverpool, Orr decided to play for QPR and
bring his talent out onto the field. He is an excellent defender who
ensures only the best for his side and nothing else, and this is mainly
why the team Manager puts him on the first line squads-as the player is
amazing and has folds of talent up his QPR shirt.
He is a proud Englishman, true in talent and sinew. He trained out
for the England National side, but realized the great importance of club
football. He has also played with Newcastle United, Burnley, Bristol
City and finally QPR, with whom he signed up in 2010. The mighty minded
star will make sure his team reaches greater heights, for football walks
hand-in-hand with practice and glory, and nothing can be achieved
without confidence in one's talent.
Patrick Kenny
Patrick Kenny was signed up by QPR in 2010, after leading the team
into the main division of the Premier League with his ultra-excellent
keeping skills. Born in Halifax, the Irishman has many goalkeeping
skills, being a most tactful player. He was the most eligible choice for
the side due to his dynamic keeping talents.
Kenny has high hopes to take his team to more peaks, brimming them
with confidence to level with their aerodynamic scoring. Thus starts the
race for the Premier League victories, as Kenny prepares his nimble
catching abilities and his careful hand coordination.
Bolton Wanderers
Kevin Davies
The Trotters are captained by Kevin Davies, who is triggered up to
bring his team to victory. His responsibility in managing all affairs of
the club has made him the most sought-after choice as a Captain. Davies
originally made his name as a vital part of the Chesterfield team which
reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 1997. Davies is known for his
physical playing style; he has committed more fouls than any other
player in the history of the Premier League, although conversely is one
of the most fouled. At the age of 33, Davies made his international
debut for England against Montenegro in a 0-0 draw on 12 October 2010,
coming on as a second half substitute.
Ricardo Gardner
After Davies, the best player Bolton has managed to pull out of its
wing is Ricardo Gardner. Gardner immediately established himself a place
in the first team for Bolton. He scored 60 seconds after coming on for
his debut.
He made 22 appearances, half of them starts, in his first year while
scoring three goals. In his second season, 1999-2000, he established a
place in the starting eleven, starting 23 of 26 games, which he has held
on to since.
Although Gardner suffered a cruciate ligament injury that took him
out of action at the end of the season, he made a full recovery, and was
able to return to the starting lineup in 2000-01 (scoring in the 2001
Division One Play off Final), playing with the promoted Bolton in the
Premier League. Due to a knee injury, Gardner did not make his first
appearance in the 2006-07 season until December.
In November 2007, he scored his first goal at club level in nearly
five years when he opened the scoring in Bolton's 2-2 draw against
German giants Bayern Munich. |
