Derivatives enter local capital market

Derivatives, a long-term capital market instrument will be introduced to the Sri Lankan investment portfolio shortly. This is the fist time that derivatives is introduced to the country’s capital market.

The National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) organized the ‘Sri Lanka Pavilion’ at the Shenzhen Gold, Jewellery and Gem Show in Shenzhen, China. It was held from March 9 to 12 for the first time. Over 250 exhibitors and a large number of trade related visitors turned up making the event a success with exhibitors confirming orders during the four days of the show.
