Seminar on VAT refunds

A seminar will be held on Tuesday March 30 from 2.00 pm onwards at the Board Room of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, to create awareness and educate the export community on the modalities of applying for VAT refunds and the various aspects involved in processing same, in order that VAT refunds may be obtained within a reasonable period of time.

The seminar will be addressed by tax officials Mallika Samarasekara, W.M.W. Kumarasiri, M.G. Somachandra, B.D.D. Herath, H.I.M. Thahir and T. Karunadasa.

This seminar will benefit exporters involved in applying for VAT refunds, as well as those having long outstanding refunds.

This will provide an opportunity to learn the correct position on this important subject as well as clarify any issues arising in this connection, at the Question and Answer session, which would follow the presentations by the speakers.
