President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva assured that both Israelis and Palestinians can count on Brazil to build a lasting peace in the Middle East. During the signing of co-operation accords between Brazil and Israel Lula said that "both Israelis and Palestinians can count on Brazil to build a peace whose positive impact will trascend the frontiers of the Middle East, extending to all humankind."
