More inquiries for Sri Lanka tours at IT CMA

40 countries attended the fair that brought in over 300 hosted buyers.

The Sri Lanka pavilion received an unprecedented number of inquiries and some of them led to business trans before the end of the fair. Well over hundred appointments were successfully handled by the Sri Lankan team throughout the fair.

The Bureau also organized an international media briefing during this event and the main purpose was to declare that Sri Lanka is a new destination for all potential visitors. Twenty eight reputed media institutions were represented at the media briefing and Sri Lankan team was able to respond to questions on Tourism development plans being implemented to reach the Presidential target of 2.5 million tourists by 2016.

The Sri Lanka team consisted of Convention Bureau Senior Manager Achini Dandunnage, Lanka Sports reizen Director and SLCB Board Member Dirk Grigson, Yathra Travel Director Sena Senaratne and Sri Lankan Airlines Country Manager Amitabh Anthonypillaie.
