Achieving national food security
‘Achieving food security in times of crisis’ is
the theme of the World Food Day celebrated all over the world today.
In a crisis situation irrespective of the nature of the crisis
whether it is economical, political, social or environmental, the
end result is that people will lose their right to have regular
access to sufficient, nutritionally adequate and culturally
acceptable food for an active, healthy life.
