Tiger operations centre bombed

Air Force supersonic fighter jets pounded an LTTE administration and operations coordinating centre in Keewelikulam, northwest of Puthukudirippu yesterday morning, Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Andrew Wijesuriya said.

Tigers - and tears - have no regard for race

Among the seven students of D. S. Senananayake College, Colombo killed in the LTTE attack at the Fort Railway Station on Sunday was Rajarathnem Radeeswaran of Dematagoda, a Tamil student in the Ordinary Level class. According to the Tamil community in the area, Radeeswaran was popular among the youth in addition to being a talented baseball player. He had to pay with his life, to an organisation claiming to be the very guardians of the community he represented, residents said.

LTTE suffers heavy losses

A total of 15 LTTE terrorists were killed and 2 were reported injured due to confrontations in Vavuniya and Mannar areas on Monday. On Monday around 7.35 am in Wedamalai area one LTTE terrorist was killed due to troop's attacks.
