CSE embarks on listing drive
The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is currently
dominated and largely driven by a small number of local investors.
It needs to strike a balance between the large local and foreign
investors to be listed in the market, CEO Surekha Sellahewa said.

KVPL records Rs 132 million profits in first half
Kelani Valley Pla- ntations PLC (KVPL), the
Hayleys Group’s plantation company, has reported a turnover of Rs
1.2 billion for the six months ending June 30, 2007, achieving a
marginal improvement over the corresponding half of 2006 despite a
significant loss of tea crop particularly in the first quarter of
