Norwegian Air Force and Navy upgrade IFS solutions
The Norwegian Defence Logistics Organisation (NDLO) has entered into
a US$ 8 million agreement with IFS to upgrade its existing maintenance
and logistics solutions for the air force and navy to IFS the global
enterprise applications company’s Applications 7.
The Norwegian Armed Forces have been an IFS customer since 1997,
where they have been delivered an integrated solution for logistics and
maintenance, among other things, for aircraft and ships by IFS whose
main targeted market segments is Aerospace and defence.
NDLO is responsible for all materiel in the Norwegian Armed Forces,
from procurement to decommissioning. It also provides a broad spectrum
of services from personnel and freight transport to advanced data
processing to technology consulting. “The Armed Forces’ most complex
material plays a crucial role in many operations, at home and abroad,
and we are dependent on consistently efficient IT support.
We have a positive experience of the solution from IFS and look
forward to upgrading to IFS Applications 7,” head of the information
department at the NDLO Harald Bye said. “We have collaborated well with
the Norwegian Armed Forces for many years, and we are very happy that
they have chosen to upgrade their applications,” said Glenn Arnesen,
