The Department of Probation and Childcare Services will conduct an all island flag day from October 1 to mark the International Children’s Day. The first flag was pinned on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees at a ceremony by a group of children, yesterday morning.

Sujith Prasanna murder : Death sentence for Three

All three accused including the Assistant Superintendent of Customs Anura Weerawansa in the Custom Officer Sujith Prasanna Perera murder were convicted on all four charges and sentenced to death by the Trial-at-Bar yesterday.
