DSS - Mahanama clash today

The seventh annual “Battle of the Golds” Rugby Encounter between D.S. Senanayake College and Mahanama College will take place today from 2.00pm onwards at Longden Place.

D.S. Senanayake led by Devin Ariyakumara are currently second in the points table and are on a four-match winning streak in the league having lost to Ananda and drawing Prince of Wales at the beginning of the season. Later, they registered convincing victories over St. Sylvesters College, Nalanda College, C.W.W. Kannangara and Lumbini Vidyalaya. Mahanama with four wins and two losses are just a point and two places behind their arch rivals in the standings.

Mahanama were the winners of the inaugural and third game whilst DSS lead the tally by emerging victorious in the second and the last three encounters.
