House for family of bus accident victim

The Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities
Ministry will provide a house to the family of Nisansla Devi (29), a
mother of two who died while standing at a bus stand in Thalangama
recently.
This accident claimed the lives of a mother of two and a father of
two, opposite the Thalanagama Hospital. The Private Bus which was plying
from Pettah to Koswatte had veered off the road killing two people.
Nisansala Devi's year and a half old child Minura Nelansa and husband
Chaminda Thilakasiri were also injured in this accident and the husband
Chaminda Thilakasiri are still receiving treatment at the Colombo
National Hospital.
She had met with the tragedy while standing at the bus stand waiting
for her daughter to arrive from pre-school. This family lives in a small
house at Pore, Athurugiriya. The body couldn't be placed in the house
and had to be kept at a relatives house. Chaminda Thilaksiri, a labourer
who was badly injured in this accident will not be able to do a job for
some time. According to Chaminda's mother, Chaminda and Nisansala only
hope was to build a new house and provide good education for their
children. Considering all these facts, Minister Weerawansa decided to
provide a house for this family.
