BBDO named Network of the Year'
For the second year in a row, BBDO won the title of 'Network of the
Year' at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards.
The coveted awards ceremony was the climax of the two day 'Festival
of Asian Marketing Effectiveness' (FAME) held in Shanghai with BBDO
walking away with a total of 18 awards - twice as many as its nearest
competitor.

The Asian Marketing Awards 2013 drew 881 entries in 28 categories,
including 12 product and service categories and 16 specialist categories
including 'Most Effective Use of Social Media Marketing', 'Most
Effective Use of Digital Media' and Best Non-traditional Thinking /
Non-advertising Idea'.
Fifty-five winners were awarded, including 16 Gold, 19 Silver and 20
Bronze awards - of which the most awarded country was Australia, taking
home 15 trophies.
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne won five medals, including Gold for 'Most
Effective Use of Sponsorship and Event Marketing', with Colenso BBDO
clinching four medals including a Gold for 'Most Effective Use of
Technology and Digital Media' closely followed by BBDO China and
Proximity China with three medals a piece, including two Golds. BBDO
Guerrero, BBDO India and BBDO Hong Kong walked away with a medal apiece
including a Gold in 'Travel, Leisure, Entertainment and Retail'.
Having won Network of the Year at the Spikes Creative Awards last
September for being the most Creative and Effective network in the
Region, the FAME awards are the latest in a long line of regional and
global wins accredited to the BBDO Network.
BBDO Lanka, the Sri Lankan affiliate of the global BBDO network,
which soon after only its first year of operations was awarded Campaign
Asia-Pacific magazine's 'Rest of South Asia Creative Agency of the Year
2012' - Silver, recently added Shopper Marketing to its services which
include ATL, PR and Digital.
BBDO Lanka is uniquely positioned in the advertising industry having
launched its Force for Good initiative in 2012 by becoming the first
carbon neutral advertising agency. It also launched Asia's first ever
mechanical air purifying billboard.
It is also the only Sri Lankan advertising agency with branch
operations in Mauritius and since 2011 has been engaged in doing truly
exciting work for Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB). MCB is the oldest and
largest banking institution in Mauritius and a true pioneer in its
banking sector. BBDO Lanka also does projects for the Mauritian Edendale
Ltd.
