Army edge out Wattala BC in extra time
The Sri Lanka Army scored a wafer thin 79 points
to 78 win over Wattala Basketball Club in extra time after the
scores read 74 all at full time in their Carlton Cup Basketball
match played at Henry Pedris Courts yesterday after trailing 33 - 45
at half time.

Royal crush Isipatana
Royal College Colombo won their inter school
under 19 match against Isipatana College by 10 wickets which
concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday. Royalists continuing from their
overnight total of 87 for two scored 172 for six wickets in 55 overs
thanks to Hashen Ramanayake(43), Shaminda Dias (24), Devin
Pathmanathan (22) and Milan Abeysekara 27 (not out). Dilan
Punchihewa captured two wickets for 46. for Isipatana.

St Patrick’s College, Jaffna figured in a ‘No
Decision’ in their schools under 19 cricket tournament match against
St Thomas College, Matale concluded at Thomians grounds, Matale
yesterday. Intermittent showers on the first day permitted only
seven overs being played and the visiting team made 20 for 1.
