No decision at Matale

St Patrick’s College, Jaffna figured in a ‘No Decision’ in their schools under 19 cricket tournament match against St Thomas College, Matale concluded at Thomians grounds, Matale yesterday. Intermittent showers on the first day permitted only seven overs being played and the visiting team made 20 for 1.

On the second day however more play was possible and St Patrick’s College made 140 all out thanks to a fine knock of 65 by R Tudor with 7 fours and a six. Medium pacer Pandula Udupihilla bowled extremely well to capture 4 for 32. The Thomians in reply made 133 for 3 in 46 overs before rain stopped play with 10 overs remaining which denied them of first innings points. Shashila Tillakasiri made 62 with 6 fours.
