Sithara excels for Thomians

An elegant knock of 50 runs by Sithara Hapuhinne and a valuable contribution of 33 runs by Dellon Peiris for S Thomas, Mount Lavinia against St John’s College, Nugegoda in their inter-school Under 13 division one Cricket tournament match conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and played at Dehiwala was of no avail as the game was called off due to inclement weather.

Thomians batted first and declared at 170 for 9 and in reply when the game came to a stand still Nugegoda Johnians were 4 for 1. Pasindu Primal claimed 3 for 39 for the homesters.
