Royal College Colombo won their inter school under 19 match against
Isipatana College by 10 wickets which concluded at Reid Avenue
yesterday.
Royalists continuing from their overnight total of 87 for two scored
172 for six wickets in 55 overs thanks to Hashen Ramanayake(43),
Shaminda Dias (24), Devin Pathmanathan (22) and Milan Abeysekara 27 (not
out). Dilan Punchihewa captured two wickets for 46. for Isipatana.
In reply to the Reid Avenue School’s, 172 for 6 Isipatana were
bundled out for a paltry 34 runs in 20 overs. Harith Samarasinghe (six
for 11) and Poorna Aluthge (three for five) were the main wreckers of
the Isipatana innings Royal, scored 33 runs for no loss in 10.4 overs.
to win by ten wickets. Sampath de Silva (14 not out) and Isuru
Gunatilleke (19 not out ) made useful contributions for Royal College.
