Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa has already gained a first innings win over Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya in their inter-school Under 19 tournament cricket match played at Wennappuwa.

Taking the first lease visitors were all out for 132 runs with Hashan Dumindu scoring 64 runs and Ransi Peiris taking 5 for 19.

At the end of day one homesters are sitting pretty with 164 for 4 with Rukshan Fernando 58 and Primash Obris unbeaten on 56 runs.
