Lankan caught smuggling gold biscuits at Bengaluru

A 65-year-old Sri Lankan passport holder was caught with 1.17 kg of gold biscuits, worth Rs 50 lakhs, stashed away in his rectum. The man was boarding a Dubai-bound flight at Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) on Tuesday evening.

Based on a tip-off , customs commissioner Sandeep Prakash gave instructions to detain the suspect before he boarded the aircraft around 4pm. He had to be administered laxatives to help officials retrieve the 15 gold biscuits.
