Aitken Spence to step up investments in Maldives

Aitken Spence Hotels is looking at building a further 400 rooms and the diversified group is considering purchasing another resort island in the Maldives. COO, Adaaran Resorts, Upul Pieris, under which brand the Aitken Spence Hotels are positioned said that this would increase their room strength to 1,000.

Aitken Spence which has been in the Maldives since 1993 is the largest foreign hotel operator in the Maldives employing over 1,600 making them the biggest foreign hotel chain in the Maldives.
