Red carpet welcome for Paralympic medal winner
Sri Lanka gave a red carpet welcome to her first
ever Paralympic medal winner, Pradeep Sanjaya when he arrived in the
country yesterday (Wednesday) after winning the bronze medal in the
400m one arm paralyzed event at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Pakistan and India ready to meet any challenge in T20 World Cup
Pakistan Captain Mohammad Hafeez said that
playing away from home is always a difficult task. But his team will

Trinity College skipper and Sri Lanka under-19
player Niroshan Dickwella was crowned Sunday Observer Mobitel
Schoolboy Cricket of the Year at the mega awards ceremony held for
the 34th year at the Galadari Hotel Grand Ballroom on Tuesday
evening. Tharindu Kaushal of Rathgama Devapathiraja MV was named
Outstation Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year.

SL clear first rugby hurdle
Sri Lanka cleared their first hurdle in their
bid to gain promotion to division one with a smashing win over
Singapore by 37 points (two goals, four tries and a penalty) to 15
points (a goal, a try and a penalty) in the Asian Junior Rugby
