Dharshana to coach in Costa Rica

Former Sri Lankan Badminton player Dharshana Fernando known as ‘Coach Fernando’ in Canada has been invited by a leading badminton academy to conduct a series of coaching programs in San Jose, Costa Rica this month.

It is an honour to be selected to train elite players and the physical education teachers in Costa Rica’ said Dharshana Fernando. He will be spending seven days in San Jose and a tight schedule has been arranged. The chief organizer in Costa Rica has said that the players are anxiously waiting for Fernando's arrival to learn from his vast experience, expertise, knowledge and specifically to learn the ‘finer points’ of the game.

Dharshana is the founder and head coach of Fernando's Youth Badminton Academy in Canada a leader in professional badminton coaching and training. He has definitely put Sri Lanka in the ‘sporting map’ by becoming an International coach having coached in Denmark, Czech Republic, Belgium, USA, Bahrain and Sri Lanka.
