Indo-SL IMBL meeting

The 21st International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) meeting between
Sri Lanka and India was held on board the Sri Lanka Naval Ship Sagara at
the Indo-Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Line off Kankasanthurai on July 6.
The Sri Lankan delegation consisted of Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka
Coastguard officials, headed by Northern Naval Area Commander Rear
Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.
The Indian delegation consisted of Indian Navy and Indian Coastguard
officials.
The IMBL meeting is held to strengthen naval relationship between the
two neighbouring countries, Sri Lanka and India.
Matters of mutual interests related to naval operations and fishing
activities were discussed at the meeting. |
