Dimbulagala Viharaya monastery complex opens on July 13

The new monastery complex at Dimbulagala Raja Maha Viharaya at
Divulgane constructed with the blessings of 'Sathara Peruwa' lay
committee members at a cost of Rs.four million borne personally by North
Central Province Governor Karunaratne Divulgane will be opened and
vested in the Maha Sangha at 3.30 pm on July 13 by the Most Venerable
Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Mahanayaka Thera, of the Asgiri Chapter of
the Shyamopali Maha Nikaya.
The Maha Sangha led by Dr Pallegama Siriniwasa, Chief Sanganayaka
Thera of North Western Province and Mahopadhyaya of the Anuradhapura
Bhikkhu University Thumbulle Seelakkhanda, Ruwanweliseya Chief Prelate
Pallegama Hemaratana, Chief Sanghanayaka of North and Central Provinces
of Asgiri Chapter Ven. Nugethenne Pannanda Thera, Governor Tissa R
Balalla, Wayamba Chief Minister Athula Wijesinghe, Kurunegala District
MP Naranath Basnayaka, Galgamuwa UNP Chief Organizer Mohan Perera, North
Western Provincial Councilor Kumara Keerthi Chandrasiri and Galgamuwa
Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman H K Wimalarathna will participate.
A special Bodhi Pooja to invoke blessings on the country, nation,
Ranaviru personnel, President and the people will be held at the
conclusion of the ceremony. |
