HP launches new imaging and printing offerings

HP launched eight new imaging and printing offerings to enhance efficiency for businesses of all sizes in A studio in a box' 3D experience, new solutions and a range of new LaserJet innovations that enable businesses to better capture, connect and communicate information.

The new offerings includes, six new HP LaserJet printers and two HP Scanjets providing small and medium businesses (SMB) and enterprise customers professional-quality documents and fast print speeds, along with the ability to extend the office beyond its physical location.

“Today we are bringing a new range of intelligent, web-enabled, cloud-enabled and solutions enabled printing devices that meet the

evolving business needs of our customers, Channel Sales, South East Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong, Printing and Personal Systems Group HP Director P.V. Viswanath said.

By combining the strength of an innovative product portfolio, cloud capabilities, industry leading management tools and a broad range of solutions, HP can meet the unique information management, workflow and printing needs of the smallest SMB to the largest enterprise, he said at the launch held last week in Colombo.

HP has a simpler and integrated approach to its products and changing customer needs have created market demand for its products.

It supports 5.5 million desk tops, 2.7 million smart phones users, 15 million IP addresses and a large volume of credit card transactions. It provides solutions not only in printing, but touching every aspect of life. It ships 52.3 million printers annually and continues be the number one position worldwide in terms of market share.

This is the 20th year of worldwide leadership. HP has more than 10,000 patents with industry’s largest portfolio.

The customer inspired innovations includes revolutionary 3D scanner ink advantage printer which was first tested in Philippines. With cost affordability in mind, HP expended the line up of products periodically.

The eight new imaging and printing solutions were simultaneously launched in Sri lanka together with other emerging markets.

The printer market opportunities are growing and Sri Lanka has a promising market. HP will introduce new products periodically in retail and enterprise range through HP dealer network islandwide, he said.

The New mobile printing solutions, include HP ePrint Software,(4) which enables PC printing to HP ePrinters at home or at work and to HP ePrint Public Print Locations (PPL) when workers are on the go.

The new Printer Control app enables users to manage device setting and supplies and print, copy and scan wirelessly to the new HP ePrint-enabled printers. HP ePrint App for Apple and Server provides high-speed wireless printing plus advanced enterprise-class security, enabling customers to place printers wherever needed, without wires,(6) while HP Web Jetadmin 10.3 provides enhanced performance, improved workflow management and additional device support for more control and ease of use.

This fleet-management application is available at no additional cost, and is used for installing, configuring, troubleshooting and managing networked and PC-connected MFPs, printers and scanner.
