The official web, logo, mascot, Sri Lanka team kit and the official theme song of the 15th Asian Junior Asian Athletic Championships were launched at a ceremony held at the Independence Square last evening. The ceremony was held under the patronage of Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage as the Chief Guest and Asian Athletic Association Secretary / Treasurer Maurice R. Jayawardene happy with team selections

Confident of winning shorter formats of the game:

Sri Lankan Captain for all forms of the game Mahela Jayawardene said that he was quite happy with the two teams - Twenty20 and the 50 over – given to him by the selectors and was confident of winning the shorter formats of the game against Pakistan. Jayawardene exuding confidence and looking fresh after his bash in the IPL in India and a scintillating half century in the final game, said so at a media conference to launch the tour at the Crystal Room, Taj Samudra, yesterday.

Rajans top century mark

Dharmaraja College topped up the century mark for the second time this season when they annihilated C W W Kannangara Maha Vidyalaya by 106 points (13 goals, 3 tries) to 9 (3 penalties) in their schools under 19 Division Segment B Rugby Tournament match played at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy yesterday.
