Lanka’s first satellite company launched

SupremeSAT (Pvt) Ltd. signed an investment agreement with the Board of Investment Sri Lanka yesterday to the tune of US $ 20 million with very ambitious plans to take Sri Lanka into the global space race.

Nestlee‚ Lanka delivers strong 14% revenue growth

Nestle‚ Lanka PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company, recorded a strong revenue growth of 14% (YoY) for the three months ending 31 March 2012, posting a revenue of Rs. 7.3 billion and a net profit of Rs. 462 million amidst a difficult market environment.

Jagro to obtain new energy scheme

Sri Lanka’s premier berry grower, Jagro Pvt Ltd has signed an agreement with Industrial Services Bureau Kurunegala (ISB) to build a 20 kw micro hydro power plant at their berry farm in Ambewela in the Nuwara Eliya District.
