SriLankan adds capacity to Jeddah

SriLankan Airlines is increasing its seat capacity to Saudi Arabia, by adding a 314-seat Airbus, A340 on its Colombo Jeddah route, to facilitate the demand from special Umrah groups, travelling to observe religious rites.

The new service will operate every Sunday commencing from May 6 and continue until September2, 2012. The aircraft is configured to 18 business and 296 economy class seats.

The new Sunday flight is added to the current thrice-weekly schedule, which operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

SriLankan is also considering the addition of a third service to Riyadh.
