To facilitate Sri Lankan and Malaysian business personalities, a two way traffic programme , Malaysia My Second Home has been initiated by a leading Malaysian property developer Y B Loi. The aim of the two way traffic is to encourage both Sri Lankans and Malaysians who are interested in business investments.

“The programme is a kind of business and resource exchange which will help increase investments of both countries. We do help Sri Lankans to invest in Malaysia and Malaysians to invest in Sri Lanka,” explained Loi.

Loi has tied a partnership with a Sri Lankan lawyer, Susantha Katugampala, who is the local Malaysian investor and financial provider.

Loi said, “ Sri Lanka is a country which possesses tremendous natural resources that can be used to make more money. Number of Malaysians are interested in investing in Sri Lanka through which both countries can benefit. Since both countries are in the same region having a lot of common characteristics, this would be a successful project in every aspect.

“Being in a post war situation, Sri Lanka is perfect to do more investments with the country's rapid development and positive policies made by the government. The economic infrastructure is very positive and there are a lot of newly emerging facilities. New constructions, highway based transportation system and remaining natural resources would do much to increase economic benefits,” noted Loi.

“We basically focus on real estate businesses. But apart from that we welcome any type of business investors. Specially we focus on education.

There are many internationally recognized universities in Malaysia. Sri Lankans are welcome to Malaysia to be educated with better facilities and recognition. “I hope to facilitate Malaysian education providers to be in Colombo to uplift education opportunities in Sri Lankans,” he said.
