Ranna212 to introduce still water villas to south

Ranna212 Tangalle is to further invest over US $ 7.5 million to add 70 rooms which would include Southern Province's first still water villas. Operations Manager Pushpitha Udawatta said that the salient feature of the extension would be the construction of 25 still water villas over the lagoon. The project is scheduled to be completed within 10 months.

It will consist of a swimming pool, two bars and two restaurants bringing the tally to four restaurants, four bars and two swimming pools with a total inventory of 125 rooms.

In addition, an administration complex at a cost of Rs 75 million is planned for, which will consist of a staff dormitory, laundry complex, office complex, car park, store complex and cafeteria.

The opening of the Ruhunu Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa International Port, and the scheduled opening of the Mattala airport and international cricket being played in the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium Hambantota adds to the potential of Ranna212. Similarly, economic activities in the Hambantota region where there is an acute paucity of quality accommodation, offers enormous scope.
