Nawaloka in major expansion drive
More hospitals in Sri Lanka and region:
Nawaloka is planning to open more hospitals in
Sri Lanka and also have plans to branch out to the region. Chairman
Nawaloka Group Jayantha Dharmadasa said that they are looking at
building a hospital in Bangladesh. “Bangladesh is a fast developing
country and advanced medical facilities are in demand and this is
the reason Nawaloka is looking at branching out to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh pushing for more trade with SL
The current US $ 46 m bilateral trade between
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will improve further after two important
events,the recently concluded SL-B’desh Joint Economic Commission
talks and the Expo 2012. “We are pleased to see so many products
from diverse sectors in this Expo. We believe we can order more from
Sri Lanka,” said Dilip Barua, visiting Bangladesh Minister for
Industries in Colombo recently.

JWT Colombo wins Lotus Roots award in Bangkok
JWT Colombo won the prestigious Lotus Roots
award at ADFEST 2012 held in Pattaya Bangkok last month. The award
was for the creation of a Vesak Pandol centred on the story of
‘gender based violence’ for Care International in celebration of the
2600th Sambuddhathva Jayanthi. The award, was received by Tay Guan
Hin,Regional Executive Creative Director South East Asia on behalf
of JWT Colombo.
