Political movement behind monster canard

It is revealed that a political movement which is in a steep decline is behind the rumours of grease monsters to create disorder in the country. The same political group had been the force behind instigating terror during the period of 1988-89 with a message written on a piece of paper.

This group is trying to agitate people by spreading rumours among the village community. A number of innocent persons became victims of this fear generated among people about a grease devil. Two youths who visited villages to sell plastic mats had been killed recently in this manner.

The person who acted as Keerthi Wijayabahu during the terror period had injected life to the character of the grease devil.

investigations conducted by the Police Intelligence Unit had revealed that the aim of spreading rumours about grease devils by this political group, is to disrupt peace in the country. Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and IGP N K Illangakoon requested the public to hand over all responsibilities in regard to these illusionary monsters to the police.
