China with Lanka when necessary - Premier Wen Jiabao
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has made a statement to President
Mahinda Rajapaksa in Beijing on August 11 which says that the People's
Republic of China will extend its fullest support in all necessary
situations to Sri Lanka in the international forum.
This important statement of the Chinese Primer which obviously has a
tremendous impact on the entire international community is in fact a
guarantee to state that China will stand along with Sri Lanka in any
event to safeguard our national independence and sovereignty states a
media statement from the Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association. The
valuable statement of the Chinese leadership is the most precious gift
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has achieved for the motherland during his
state state to China.
This strategic stand of the People's Republic of China has to be
considered in the light of cold war like persecution launched against
Sri Lanka by the Western imperialists headed by America, even going to
the extent of using the UN as its cat's paw.
No foreign power hostile to the interests of Sri Lanka could ignore
or overlook the impact of China in international economic, security and
political spheres. |
