Therapeutic Functional Play Area for Lady Ridgeway Hospital

The Health Ministry has finalized arrangements to instal a Therapeutic Functional Play Area in the Colombo Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital as a mode of treatment for an estimated 30,000 children who have been subjected to nervous disabilities.

The American Non-governmental Organisation Americans International Organisation has already agreed to provide Rs one million for the installation of this play area at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital.

The Memorandum of Understanding regarding this project was signed on August 12 by Health Ministry Acting Secretary Dr Palitha Mahipala and Americans International Organisation Sri Lankan Director Ramani Perera. The Agreement was later handed over to Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital Director Dr Ratnasiri Hewage.
