Under iron grip of Tigers:
LTTE leaders in Netherlands played key role in funding SL war

The Dutch judiciary said that Tiger leaders in
the Netherlands have played a prominent role in financing the war in
Sri Lanka. The 10,000 Tamils in the Netherlands were under the iron
grip of the guerilla group, states Radio Netherlands in a report
published yesterday.

Forty-two countries confirm participation
A total of 42 countries have confirmed their
participation in the international seminar, ‘Defeating terrorism -
the Sri Lankan experience’ organized to share Sri Lanka’s
experiences as the first country in the 21st century to have
defeated terrorism, said Army Commander Lieutenant General Jagath
Jayasuriya.
