A senior Pakistani security official said
yesterday he could not confirm a media report that Taliban leader
Mullah Omar had been killed. "I am making queries," the official
said, requesting anonymity.

stormed a major naval air base in the heart of Pakistan’s biggest
city, destroying two US-made surveillance aircraft and killing 13

Indonesia to host Non-Aligned Movement conference

ready for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) conference slated for
Monday in Bali, and poised to lead the 118-nation group in drafting
a vision for the next 50 years, local media reported on Monday.
Indonesia last chaired the NAM in 1992, just after the dissolution
of the Soviet Union in 1991.
