Field Force Youth win

Field Force Youth Basketball Club beat Buffaloes Basketball Club by 76 points to 70 in a Carlton Cup Open Basketball Tournament 'B' Division Quarter-final match played at Police Park Courts.

Field Force Youth BC was in the lead by 39 points to 29 at half time.

Tharindu Rupasinghe was the highest scorer for the winners with 20 points. Tian got 19 points.

Danuka De Silva bagged 18 points and Buddika Wijesundara 16 points for Buffaloes.

Joes Basketball Club defeated Sri Lanka Navy Basketball Club by 48 points to 46 in Another 'B' Division game played at the same venue. Joes BC was in the lead by 25 points to 20 at half time. Yohan Kayser (12 points) and Shen Seneviratne (7 points) were made valuable contributions for the winners. D.D. Mutukumara scored 8 and A.V. Sounderraj 13 points for S.L. Navy.

Meanwhile Wattala Basketball Club routed Colombo Bulls Basketball Club by 66 points to 60 in a 'A' Division game.

Colombo Bulls was in the lead 24 points to 20 at half time.

Manjula Jayaratne was the top scorer for the victorious Wattala BC with 15 points (Prageeth Pushpakumara collected 13 and Sanketa Jayaratne 12 points).

Duke Rajapaksa scored 16 points for Colombo Bulls. Kanishka Wishwanath got 7 and Wibavi Alkegama obtained 8 points for Colombo Bulls.
