Ministry won't take transfer applications

The Education Ministry yesterday requested teachers seeking transfers from schools that come under the Provincial Councils to National Schools not to send applications to the Ministry until they are informed by the Ministry.

The Ministry has sought Cabinet approval to revoke the order issued by the Public Services Commission which prevented the teachers who received their first appointment after January 1, 1980 from being transferred to National Schools from provincial schools and vice versa.
