Third Annual Research Forum - 2009

The Sri Lanka Agricultural Economics Association (SAEA) is organizing its third annual research forum on October 2 at HARTI. The SAEA was formed in 1992 and it has been functioning as a professional body having a membership over 200 social scientists particularly from the discipline of agricultural economics.

The Annual Research Forum (ARF) is one of the important activities of SAEA and it provides a meeting point of members of the association and recognized social scientists and policy makers from Sri Lanka and abroad.

An expert session is organized to discuss the issues in agriculture and rural development.

Technical sessions of ARF conducted under several themes to discuss the various methodological issues and findings of research studies undertaken in social science by various institutions including universities, research institutes and other Government and non- government organizations. The Sri Lanka Journal of Agricultural Economics Volume nine will also be released on the day.
