Kandy Education Circuit overall champions

Kandy Education Circuit emerged champions collecting 1,529 points and Wattegama Education Circuit were runners-up with 562 points while Galewela Education Circuit came 3rd with 246 points at the Inter Circuit Athletic Championship organised by the Central Province Education Dept. and concluded over the weekend.

The meet was held for 5 days and the prize distribution was held under the patronage of Chief Minister, Central Province, Sarath Ekanayake.

The following Education Circuits became top ten at the team championship: 1. Kandy - 1,529 points, 2. Wattegama - 562, 3. Galewela - 246, 4. Matale - 229, 5. Hatton - 186, 6. Hanguranketha - 165, 7. Katugastota - 121, 8. Teldeniya - 110, 9. Denuwara - 107, 10. Gampola - 78.
