Antonians oust Petes in quarters 22-17

St. Anthony's College survived a fierce second half rally to beat St. Peter's College by 22 points to 17 points in their Milo inter school under 20 knock out rugby tournament first quarterfinal match worked off at the Royal College Sports Complex grounds in Reid Avenue yesterday.

The Antonians collected their points from two goals, one try and one penalty after having led 15-nil at half time. The Peterites staged a good second half rally and responded with two goals and one penalty. This was also the second time that St. Anthony's College had triumphed over St. Peter's College this season having won the league match earlier at Bambalapitiya.

Meanwhile Isipatana College will confront Dharmaraja College Kandy in another quarter final match at the same venue today. Wesley College have received a walk over from Trinity College Kandy who have also pulled out from the tournament.
