BOC Ran Kekulu scholarships

The Bank of Ceylon has assigned funds annually for granting of
scholarships worth Rs. 10,000 each for 1,250 children with Ran Kekulu
accounts, maintaining a minimum balance of Rs. 2,500 possessing highest
aggregates of marks in the Grade Five Scholarship Examination, every
year. There is a free accident insurance cover for the RKG account
holder's depositor upto Rs. 500,000/- and a free annual medical
insurance cover of Rs. 100,000/- for the RKG account holder.
Recently at a ceremony held in the auditorium of Bank's Head Office,
169 Ran Kekulu account holders with highest aggregates of marks from the
Western Province North Region were awarded scholarships.
The Chairman of BoC, the General Manager, Corporate and Executive
Management and a large number of parents participated at this ceremony.
General Manager of the Bank B.A.C. Fernando congratulated the
scholarship recipients and said that Ran Kekulu Scholarship Award Scheme
is an impetus for the children to successfully continue their future
studies and a financial foundation for higher education. |
