Dog deaths: police probe terrorist link

Mysterious deaths of dogs in and around Katugastota has perturbed the police which has launched an investigation to ascertain whether it has any terrorist connection.

Police said around 20 dogs had died in the Katugastota area in recent times. In Kahalla area alone, six dogs had died on Tuesday. Meanwhile, 11 suspects who had open warrants against them in several kassipu cases were rounded up by excise officials in Kandy yesterday.
