Dissanayake M. Tikiribanda, 56, of 257, Rajasinghe Road, Kaduwela,
Homagama is suffering from kidney failure and has been recommended an
urgent kidney transplant.
Tikiribanda is seeking a willing kidney donor with an 'A' positive or
'O' blood group. Donors could contact on 011-2539535.
Bohra spiritual leader in Lanka
Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb, spiritual leader of the
International Dawoodi Bohra Community arrived on Sunday to attend the 10
day Ashara Mubaraka ceremony which marks the Martyrdom of Prophet
Mohammed's grandson, Imam Hussain and is the most important event of the
Dawoodi Bohra Islamic religious calendar.
Japanese artists, writers in Sri Lanka
A delegation of Japanese artists and writers arrived in Sri Lanka
recently on an invitation of the Minister of Education Susil
Premajayantha and the National Book Development Council of Sri Lanka.
The delegation is led by Taro Gomi, a prominent children's artist and
writer who has written more than 400 books.
The delegation plans to conduct two workshops for artists and school
children at St. Paul's Vidyalaya, Milagiriya and Mahanama Vidyalaya
while the official receiving ceremony for the Japanese delegation will
be held at Pinnawala Central College, Rambukkana. |
