Sampath Bank conferred at NBEA 2007

Sampath Bank won awards at the recently held "National Business Excellence Awards" conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka at Colombo Hilton. This year Sampath bagged the Awards for the "Winner in the Banking Sector" and "Best Capacity Building" (Runner-up) which was won for the first time.

Sampath Bank revolutionised the banking sector in Sri Lanka when it introduced ATMs and an on-line Branch network over two decades ago. With a branch network of over 105 spread across the island Sampath enjoys a position of being a technologically savvy bank with a strong Sri Lankan identity.

Sampath Bank Chief Operating Officer, Aravinda Perera received the award for the "winner in the Banking Sector" from K. Samarasinghe, Director (operations), Edna Group.
