Asia Oceania Davis Cup Zone III:

Sri Lanka remains in Zone III

It was a delayed start yesterday due to rain on the fifth and final day of the Asia/Oceania Zone III of the Davis Cup tennis tournament at Green Path. The front runners for the first and second teams to be promoted from Zone III to Zone II were Lebanon, Oman, Sri Lanka and UAE.

CH and FC staged a magnificent fight-back in the last 10 minutes to hold CR and FC to a 20-all draw and virtually dash the Red Shirts’ hopes of clinching the Caltex ‘A’ Division League Rugby Title in their match played at Longden Place yesterday.
