CRICKET: Off spinner Amal Athulathmudali returned excellent figures of five wickets for 19 runs to steer Chilaw Marians SC to an innings and 38 run victory over Nugegoda SC in their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Katunayake yesterday.

SSC cruised to an easy ten wicket outright victory over Panadura SC in their SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Maitland Place yesterday.

Panadura SC: 133 and 125 (S. Heshan 31, S. Umayanga 22, S. Senanayake 5 for 35, D. Abeydeera 3 for 30)

SSC: 258 for 4 decl (H. Fernando 61, D. Randhika 81 n.o, S. Karunanayake 33, S. Umayanga 2 for 60, M. Fonseka 2 for 48) and 4 for no loss


First innings win

Colts CC had to be satisfied with first innings points over Tamil Union in their rain hit SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Havelock Park yesterday.

NCC powered their way to register an easy first innings victory over Moors SC in their rain hit SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match concluded at Maitland Place yesterday.

Sameera a ten wkt haul

Sameera Hewage took a match bag of ten wickets but Bloomfield missed out on an outright victory by just one wicket in their rain hit SLC under 23 division one cricket tournament match against Seeduwa/Raddoluwa SC concluded at Reid Avenue yesterday.
