Rising crime rate due to poor enforcement of laws - Prof. Peiris

Laws not properly enforced is the major problem in our society today and this condition facilitated the increase in the crime rate. So in order to face this situation, the Government is proposing to enact new laws said prof. G.L. Peiris, Minister of Enterprise Development, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotions.

SLMM submits report on Mullaitivu incident

The Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) yesterday submitted to the Government and the LTTE a three page report on the sinking of the LTTE vessel by the Navy in the sea off Mullaitivu.
