A 15-member trade, cultural and political delegation from Latvia led by former Prime Minister of Latvia Andris Berzins arrived in Sri Lanka on Saturday morning. The delegation now in Colombo is participating in a series of business meetings and one-to-one discussions. Lanka's international telecom market open to competition after 122 years

For the first time in the 122-year history of telephony in Sri Lanka international telecom services will be opened to competition from February, paving the way for a drastic reduction in international call prices.
