Godrej Locks enters market with Abans tie-up

Godrej Locks, a leading brand in the lock industry in India announced
its entry to the Sri Lankan market through a tie-up with the Abans
Group. This will make available more innovative safety locking solutions
for Sri Lankan consumers at affordable prices.
Speaking at the Godrej Locks launching event in Colombo , Godrej
Locks Executive Vice President and Business Head Shyam Motwani said the
tie-up with the Abans Group will help them to gain a strong foothold in
the rapidly developing Sri Lankan market and to reach to a level they
are aspiring in the near future.
Godrej Locks has already formulated a three year road map in a bid to
achieve a satisfactory growth in the Sri Lankan market and the road map
is to be operational from April 2012. “With the ongoing development
initiatives in Sri Lanka, Godrej sees immense opportunities for their
products in the retail and institutional segments of Sri Lanka.
This will be the company’s first foray and entry to the Sri Lankan
market through the tie-up with the Abans Group which has a wide range
distribution network of around 600 dealers and 350 showrooms,” Motwani
said.
A range of locking solutions such as padlocks, mortise locks,
furniture locks, cylindrical locks, architectural hardware, rim locks
and other products will be available at Abans showrooms islandwide.
